We have had a lot of people ask How They Know if they Pay medicare: Basically, most people do! You are only exempt if you are a pensioner or disabled etc.

So you want to know what your tax return will be, before you submit it, right? Who doesnt. That means you can start shopping now!

This App, will do just that.

Grab that Payment Summary you get from your Payroll Department every year, throw in your total pay for the year, enter your total deductions (phone, internet etc.) and then how much tax you already paid in your normal pay through your employer (thats on your payment summary too!).

Then...got private health? Got a HECS or HELP debt? Are you exempt from the Medicare Levy? Bang it in. Then booooom...there is your tax return.

If you have stocks, bonds, barrels of oil in your garage or anything crazy like that, move on. This is for the basic stuff, nice and quick.

Explanation on fields:

Gross Income: Gross payments made to you from your employer

Deductions: The expenses you incurred while doing your job. This could be things like Mobile Phone, Internet etc.

Tax Already Paid: Your employer would most likely tax Tax out of your pay every week. Usually called PAYG (pay as you go). This amount will be on your payment summary.

Do you pay medicare levy: Basically, most people pay it. But you may be exempt if you are disabled, a pensioner or something similar.

Do you have private health: This is aksing if you have had private health cover for the entire financial year. If you dont, and earn over a certain amount, you may need to pay a Medicare Surcharge.
